This session covers the practical use of the forklift under specific tuition from one of our AMS Forklift Trainers. The lesson will cover basic forklift skills and will build confidence ahead of the practical forklift assessment.

Trained Forklift Operators Will Save Time & Reduce Cost

A trained forklift operator is the key to ensuring the most effective and safe use of forklifts in the workplace. Having a trained and certified forklift operator requires a Forklift Operators Certificate as a minimum and if driving on a road, an F endorsement on their licence.

The purpose if this course is for Health an Safety Reps to explain and demonstrate their overall role and functions in a New Zealand workplace. Explain the role and functions of the Health and Safety Representative under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and its Regulations Working with the PCBU & WorkSafe Roles and Responsibilities under the HSWA. Explain the role of a Health and Safety Managing risk and the importance of communicating with workers and management. Responsibility that a health and safety rep has for issuing a provisional improvement notice (PIN). How and when to direct a worker to cease unsafe work. Please note that dependent on the trainees experience a post course activity may be required for assessment prior to the unit standard being completed.
